Tony Pashigian – COO

  • Leader of a crisis management team to perform analysis of a large assembly operation to identify and resolve layout issues, bottle necks, and wasted time that ranged from obvious to subtle opportunities. Increased throughput by 9 times.
  • Directed a team responsible for the quality of 2 billion metal, mechanism, and fastener components, annually, from 250 different suppliers.
  • Parts per million defects reduced from 500+ to 8 in 20 months. Implemented new business hold and supplier performance mean shift processes.
  • Orchestrated a “one department” approach from 5 disparate, and often hostile, engineering departments comprised of 200 engineers, designers, and project managers. Increased engineering sophistication by introducing predictive and verification methods. Improved issue resolution approach resulting in return customers. Replaced ad hoc approach to workload prioritization by creating workload management tools for transparency and throughput improvement to manage the confluence of projects, orders, and issues. Approximately doubled team throughput with predictable results. Avoided 3 recalls. 2 recalls immediately resolved.
  • Turned around a dysfunctional purchasing organization of nearly 100 purchasing and quality professionals. Delivered $13.5M in savings on $350M spend (3.9%) to a target of $10.5M (3%). Personally settled 8 lawsuits with suppliers without requiring a court’s decision. Expanded purchasing to have a presence in Mexico.
  • Orchestrated the new model development and launch resources to quietly launch the F150 seating project comprised of 650 components in 44 different row kits in 3 JIT plants. $500 million in annual revenue. No premium freight or product containments.
